does anyone know of a good program for displaying
firewall log in real time ?

but aren't somethin that may give more meaningfull
information and resolve ip adress

The IP are not resolved for a reason.  Most are not relevant, and even
if they are they are usually spoofed IPs, dial-up IPs or from a
university.  If you ever experienced a DOS or DDOS attack attempting
to resolve names during the attack could contribute to the DOS.

Isn't freesco just a floppy based distro for router? What has it got to

Regarding that, you might wanna check out MultiTail
http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/categories.php?func=gd_show_app&gd_app...

Its a gDesklets sensor/display that shows various logfiles in a
transparent window on top the background image.

I find it very handy.

I also pipe to grep

tail /var/log/firewall.log -f | grep "looking for here"

and also use a program called msyslog that dumps all my FW logs into
mysql and then have a php script that reads from the realtime sql
database.

Which firewall are you using to get logs from it?  I use the 'stock' 
firewall that came with FC2.
