svg Editing on Fedora

Hi all

Does anyone know a program to edit svg files?  I know that the Gimp can IMPORT 
them, but what I'm searching for is a vector based editing program.

There also is sodipodi in extras.

Inkscape is a fork of sodipodi since the original program is hardly being 
maintained anymore (the last version is more than a year old). The Inkscape 
people are doing a great job though. It's really improving fast.

No, it isn't anymore for some time, because it's considered obsolete with
Inkscape.
