Hello everyone,
I've updated this tutorial on how to build a custom Fedora kernel RPM.
http://crab-lab.zool.ohiou.edu/kevin/kernel-compilation-tutorial-en/steps.ht...
Since these instructions don't work exactly with recent kernel source rpms, I figured out how to make the process work.
Here's my updated version of the steps:
http://home.swbell.net/kwgow/kernel/steps.html
I'm no expert on this but I thought I'd share what works for me.

Steps one and do can be done a lot easier (IMHO) if you have fedora-rpmdevtools from fedora-extras installed. Just do a
fedora-buildrpmtree
to create a ~/.rpmmacros, ~/rpmbuild and the dirs below that one.

That is the very first step in my updated version.
Did you look at the updated version?
I read to fast and clicked on the wrong link. Sorry.
But google finds the old page, too. Maybe you should remove the old tutorial and relink to the new place for stupid fools like me?
