Hi,
I would like to transfer photos, that I snap with Iphone, on my computer.
But, although I can see ipfone inside the window of nautilus, I can not open it
If I try to do it, I get the error:
"Unable to access iphon -unhandled lockdown error "
I know that the problem of access to iPhone inside linux is complex.
But, just to get it a try, I tried to mount iPhone on fedora, and I realized that I am not able to do this operation.
I would ask :
What is the iphone device file (the file /dev/xxx) to use to make mounting this operation ?
$ sudo mount -t vfat -o rw /dev/ ???? /media/mydir....
thank you
regards
Angelo

Mine worked until iOS updated several weeks ago. Now I see the same error.
I found an app on the Apple Store "Transfer Pro" that enabled me to transfer them via my browser, Firefox in Fedora 25.

hi Bob,
Thank you for the reply, ...good to know it :-).
Before I'll try it, could you explain me a little, in more detail how it works ?
After the installation of "Transfer Pro" on iPhone, ( I think ..) it need to connect the phone to computer via cable ..(?) And after..., how the browser can get accesses the phone (which procedure / commands should be used) ?
Thank you

I googled for a solution and found that app[Files Transfer]. Instilled it on the iPhone5 and set the configuration items it asked for.
Set the iPhone address wifi [192.168.1.199] on the desktop Fedora 25 Firefox URLline and everything connects wirelessly via my ASUS RT66N router. I have only used it2 or 3 times, that's all I can remember at this early hour ...
Seems to me it all just worked and I am no iPhone expert!

Hi Bob,
I just would be prepared for using this application.
I'll try it.
Thank you very much
