Dear All,
I have just installed Ibus typing booster, which does appear on the system tray, but it does not show up with word suggestions while writing a text on LibreOffice Writer, for instance.
How should one activate Ibus typing booster?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Are others experiencing the same thing? Is it expected that Ibus pops up automatically as one is typing? Or should one use a keyboard command previously?

Works for me.
You need to add the appropriate input method that includes the booster function.

Thanks, Ed. I did add Ibus as the input method, but with no progress. I may fill a bug report against Ibus.

Yes, but did you pick as one of your input methods "English-English US (Typing Booster)"? If you picked only "English-English US" that is the wrong one.

Hummm... I do have
"English-English US",
as I cannot find
"English-English US (Typing Booster)".
Should I install something else, Ed?

Thanks, Ed. Now,
"English-English US (Typing Booster)"
is appearing, and Ibus is working!

One should read this fine article:
https://fedoramagazine.org/master-typing-ibus-booster/
found with a web search, and apparently published yesterday. How fortuitous!

Yes, I saw that article. Good work but I have a minor issue with it.
It uses an animated GIF. It will loop if you are using Firefox as your browser. However, if you are using Chrome it will run only once and leave you with a blank space. It runs rather quickly, so you may never see the GIF if you take your time scrolling through the article.
So, I too was momentarily tripped up by thinking it was going to be enabled for "English - English US". When it didn't work I went to add Hindi to test it when I saw what I needed to do.
Not sure if many folks here know it, but both Chinese and Japanese input methods (more than one input method for each) have had predictive or suggestive input for a long time. So, not so sure it is necessary that typing booster has support for those.

True, Ed. The same situation here: I also use Firefox.
