Fedora 31 Workstation XFCE desktop ( installed on top of gnome )
Hi,
When wanting to switch users in XFCE I put my mouse in the right hand corner of the screen. I click my name. Then I click switch user and what I do that nothing happens.. I cannot switch users without logging myself out. How do I fix this?
Thank you, Chris

Can someone tell me if my message went though I never got a response to my orginal message?
I figured out what was wrong.. I had to switch from GDM and I had to install and activate LightDM and now I can switch users again.
Thanks, Chris

Yes, I saw your original message, but didn't know how to fix your issue, so did not respond. And this message came through also. :-p

Thanks for posting the solution, something that helps the community in the future.

I saw your original message but didn't reply as I don't switch users, this being a home box.
AH, I see... Thanks for replying!

Didn't you get the message from the list? You can also check the archives to see if it went out.
Not all of us get (or want) copies of our own posts. I certainly don't.

Even if only a single person uses a PC, it can be handy to have one or more extra logins set up, for test purposes. You can compare your login with an uncustomised one. You have a spare in case your own goes doolally. You have a spare to mess up with experiments.

That's up to you, but the archives are there anyway.

Yes, I know, and I've done that years ago when I was first learning Linux. Haven't needed a spare account in years, as I've got things set up the way I like and I'm not interested in experimenting.

Using Fedora qualifies as experimentation.
