It's not compatible with FC3 because the underlying yum code that it uses has changed substantially. Seth (yum author) is working on a GUI but it may not arrive before FC4. It's possible that gyum may be updated to support FC3 but I don't know if there are any plans to do this.
Paul.

Is there a yum-applet rpm for fc3 ? Thanks Eric

It was necessary to install older version of YUM to make it work with GYUM.
This special version of yum will replace current yum and configure for FC3.

Not yet. I have not tested yum-applet on FC3 yet. I will let know you when it's ready. :) -- Thomas Chung FedoraNEWS.ORG

Ok, it's now available but it's called special "rhn-applet" build to launch GYUM.

Ok but with this old yum version we loose the advantages of the new version : ie --enablerepo for example. Why to not developp a new version of gyum for the new version of yum ? Yes i know i want butter and money of butter as we say in france! Thanks Eric
