Dual Athlon cpu

Running dual athlons using the i386 (or 686 depending the package) F9
release (this is an x86_64 system), is there some services that need to
be enabled for them to be maximized in their use?  Things such as
cpuspeed and such need to be on?  In other words (and not that
knowledgeable in this area), can you even tell if it's being used
correctly, and if your just doing small things, such as checking email,
browsing, those type things, is it used then as well, or more for when
doing things like compiling one program, then doing all the other stuff
like normal?

Are you talking about a dual Athlon MP (AMD762MP) or a dual-core
Athlon64?

The cpuspeed daemon does the opposite:  Allows a system to slow down
when the CPU doesn't need to run full pelt, and change speeds up and
down as needed.

As far as I know non of "desktop" services in Fedora (cpuspeed included)
need any type of special configuration when used on dual core CPUs.

Well, I only have 2G ram, so using 64 won't do me much good anyway.  I
guess I am only asking is what services (if any) need to be on to take
advantage of the dual core processor(s), as I mostly turn off all
services that I don't need after a install and might have turned
something off (like cpuspeed, if needed) that might need on to help the
system run faster/better.

Already running F9 and have since testing actually.  Just trying to
clarify what services are needed IF any for cpus to work faster/better.

P.S. Not having any problems or slowness really on anything, just asking
in general is all.

In general, things should work more-or-less out of the box.
I'd consider switching to F9/x86_64, especially if you have more than
2GB of memory.

Beyond that... well, nothing that I can think of.

something went wrong between RC2 and F9-release, you should be safe.
