I got and error of nvidia-kmod-common not found when update the nvidia driver. When can I get this package ?

The driver version has been updated and for some reason the packages won't update quite right. There is no physical package nvidia-kmod-common. Simple fix: remove the old driver and then reinstall it: # yum remove kmod-nvidia # yum install kmod-nvidia
That should get it working. And if you are going to switch to the new driver without rebooting, be sure to "rmmod nvidia" (the old driver in memory) before restarting X or you will be wondering why you are getting version mismatch errors like I did : ).
