I am new for Fedora. I was trying to install Fedora 10 core to my external USB 40GB harddisk using bootable Fedora 10 core DVD. I have unplugged all internal hard disk for any risk. But while installation it was not detecting USB hard disk. Can anybody help me regarding this issue.

Are you doing a normal or an expert install? The normal install does not show the USB drives.

I was selected custom layout also. Still not showing USB hard disk.

Are you doing a normal or an expert install? The normal install does not show the USB drives.

I didnot get any option like Expert mode. Could anybody please help me out regarding this issue? I am struggling from last week but nothing is working. Can anybody help me how to install full fedora core 10 to USB hard disk.

Does the bios on your machine show USB as bootable? The USB drive may not exist until some drivers are loaded to late for the install process.
Yes bios on my machine shows USB as bootable.
