Hello,
For months or years, I was able to connect to my home Wifi without re-entering the key. Until some updates two days ago, which, I think, included NetworkManager. Now, whenever I boot first time during the day, it asks me for the Wifi key.
I should mention that months ago, there was this KWallet thing which asked me for a password every time I wanted to connect, which was an enormous pain, and I somehow managed to disable it, and I was fine since, until now.
I absolutely want to be able to connect to my Wifi without entering a password or network key every time.
Thanks!
Best, Oliver

No problems here in a fully updated F20-x86_64 system using KDE.
Since you've mentioned kwallet I think you must be using KDE as well. If you bring up the "Connection Editor" and edit your Wifi Connection does the password appear in "Wireless Security" section?
And, what do you mean by you've disabled kwallet?

You should enable "All users may connect to this network" in Edit Connections. Like this http://i.imgur.com/xWZzMZI.png.
Recent versions of Fedora (20) has passwordless wallet that means you wouldn't be asked for password by Kwallet anyways.
Hello,
How do I get to "Edit connections"?
I don't remember what I did to KWallet, I only remember that after some considerable effort, it finally stopped asking me all the time.
Whenever I do a git push, there are some error messages about KWallet, which I ignore, since the git push works. If I could get it such that I would never have to read the word "KWallet" again, that would be awesome, of course.
Best, Oliver

It sounds to me (though I am no expert) as if KWallet is open, and waiting for you to put in its password. You can remove the password for KWallet by going to KWalletManager (type kwallet in the Applications text area) and clicking on Change Password. (That is what I have done.) I guess you have to logout and login again after that.
You could close KWallet, but I would imagine that would mean you always had to put in your WiFi key.

Assuming you are using the kde-plasma-nm utils....
Click on the network icon in the systray. Then click on the wrench icon in the upper right. This brings up the "Connection editor".

That's too bad. It is usually helpful to recall what you did to change things. But let me ask..... If you bring up "kwalletmanger" and go to "Configure kwallet" is the "Enable KDE wallet subsystem" unchecked?

1. Click the system tray network widget. 2. Click top-right wrench to bring Connection Editor. 3. Select the network you are trying to connect to. 4. Click Edit on the toolbar. 5. Go the General configuration in the Edit Connection.

System Settings > Account Details > KDE Wallet
In the Wallet Preference Tab, tell us, if "Enable the KDE Wallet subsystem" is checked. It would be a good idea to post a screenshot of that window.

I can see no connection between git push and KWallet.
Hello,
The "Enable KWallet subsystem" is unchecked.
I edited the connection and entered the network key. I will see by tomorrow whether it has to ask again.
Thanks!
Best, Oliver

That means KWallet is not enabled in your system. I am not sure where are passwords saved in such cases.
