F22 workstation install - Xfce desktop

I am attempting a workstation installation on my rebuilt Lenovo x120e 
notebook.

I want the Xfce desktop.  I download the workstation netinstall x86_64 
iso and built a DVD.

I downloaded:

mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/releases/22/Workstation/x86_64/os/

to my repos server and also:

mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/updates/22/x86_64/  (less debug and drpms 
directories)

I booted the install image, set up the partitions as I like (smaller /, 
larger swap and /home).

I specific my local OS repo and the updates as 'update'.  I selected the 
Xfce desktop (deselecting all additional groups for starters) and get an 
error:

Error checking software selection.

So how do I do a local install of Xfce?

Interestingly, if I select local mirror and then go to select the Xfce 
desktop, I still get the "Error Checking software selection"

Hi Robert I'm not sure, but I suppose that at the alpha stage
the selection of personal desktops is not guaranted.

Alpha stage?  I am speaking about F22, not F23...

I rebooted the installation, did NOT select my local repos, using the 
closest mirror, and that let me select the Xfce desktop.  Might be 
something with the rsync of the mirrors that I did....

Installing as little as possible and then will attempt to do the rest 
locally.  And I probably have to start learning DNF...

Hi Robert
I never had problems using this type of installation (F21 and F22):

using an KS installation for a minimal server install to avoid the 
troubles with the disk partitionning.

That installs about 800 and odds packages.

after that:
dnf groupinstall Xfce

which installs some more than 1000 Packages.

Then you have an System with Xfce Desktop with no Gnome add-ons or such.
