I recently built a new computer from components and decided to see if I
could convert my install from BIOS to UEFI...
I decided against a manual conversion since I had already seen email
traffic that it wasn't a good idea. Instead I decided to do a new install
on the new M.2 SSD and then tie in my current install on my old SATA SSD.
It took me a number of reboots to get the bugs worked out afterwards but I
got it working and I thought bug free BUT...
I noticed that my computer is still booting an old kernel even though I've
installed 3 kernel updates since. I think I found the problem but can't
verify until I get home so I can watch the reboot but the symbolic link:
/etc/grub2.cfg
Was still pointing to /boot/grub2 instead of /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/grub.cfg
So I'm guessing grubby wasn't updating my grub to boot into the latest
kernel.
Anyway, just thought someone else may try and hopefully find this helpful.
Thanks,
Richard
