Interestingly, f30 is the first release to work reliably with nouveau (on my hybrid intel/nouveau laptop, all prior releases I had to blacklist nouveau to get anything remotely working).

Nouveau works for me when running wayland, as soon as I try to run X, I get a black screen and the monitor telling me unrecognized signal.
As near as I can tell, it screws up the EDID when running X and comes up with an absurd video setting.

EDID is done in the kernel and not in wayland or X11 user space. When EDID is bad I recall that you get messages in dmesg. Did you get thoses messages? I did not get them.

Same experience here. Install failed several times; finally got through it. Booted to multi-user target and installed NVIDIA driver; stable now.
card: nVidia GeForce GT 630

Yes this fixes the problem and has been released, just did a dnf upgrade to install it.
