hello,
After an update from fedora 20 to fedora 22, I get: a started job is running for wait for plymouth boot screen to quit
It running for 15 mn!
It is probably a graphic issue. Dell Inspiron 9400.
How can I fix it?
Thank.

I've found from painful experience that when things like that happen you can often switch to a text console, log in and do some troubleshooting. For this, I'd use either top or htop to see if you can find out what's hung.

You first need to understand what the problem is. Reboot with "rhgb quiet" removed from the boot menu entry kernel parameters. Does that work? Or reboot to runlevel 3. Does that work?
Yes I can run in level 3 I cannot start the graphic xrandr -q gives can't display I also tried: Xorg -configure
and got: Number of created screens does not match number of detected devices
It is a radeon card

Why did you try that? Only out of curiosity or because you still run with a custom config file?
Did you try a fresh user account, too?

That's not unusual. Which one is it exactly? And do you install and use the proprietary driver?

Xorg generated a new file 0.log that I did not touch

Without graphic, not easy.

No, I do not think so. It was working fine if fedora 20

Why not? Boot to runlevel 3, log in as "root", run "useradd" to create a fresh account. Run "passwd USERNAME" to give that user a password. Log out. Log in as the new user. Run "startx". What do you get?

That only answers one of the two questions. Which card is it?
If you want the full potential of a mailing-list with many subscribers (and many are silent readers until they find something to comment on), more details could lead to something.
