Okay so I've downloaded the 4 files I need for FC3, but oddly enough I have them saved on my computer, and can not move them to a CD... Windows (Of course) is showing me an error screen. Anyone had this problem when they were trying to switch or have any clue what I may have done wrong?
I downloaded the second set of four files on the first link from the Download section of the Fendora website. They are ISO files, and the error message reads
"Windows encountered a problem when tring to copy this file. What do you want Windows to do?" "FC3-x86_64-disc1.iso" "Tyoe: ISO File" "Date Modified: 1/28/2005 10:01 AM" "Size: 637 MB"
Then my choices are "Retry" and "Cancel"
Click Retry just pops the same message up, over and over again. Thanks for the help... I'm looking like quite the noob already on this site... Hehe

First of all you should not "move" the file on the CDs. You have to burn CDs using the files as images (and Windows buil-in burner won't help you on this, so try some software like Nero). Regards, Maxim.

Isn't there a FAQ on this somewhere?

If you do not have a burner program such as Nero, XP cannot put the iso image on the cd as anything but a file.
If you have access to linux it is simple, or if you have the burner software that likely came with either the system or the CD burner then it is simple to tell that to create the cd from the image.

If you have Partition Magic and a Flash stick here is another alternative:
1) use PM to shrink your windows partition by 5 GB ~ 1a) if this is a dual boot, shrink Windows by enough to hold Linux also 2) create a new 5GB fat based partition in the newly created space 3) copy your iso files into the drive created in #2 4) use something like Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/portal.php) to mount cd 1 5) use windows explorer to navigate to the /images directory on the new mounted iso 6) look for the iso image for disk boot. use rawrite to move this to a flash stick. 7) boot from the iso
Enjoy

You do not copy the .iso images to a CD. You need to use a program such as Nero or Roxio to make a CD from the image file. Assuming you have one of these programs installed just double-click on each downloaded .iso file and let Nero/Roxio do its thing.
