i've gotta be stupid for not knowing this BUT i just installed XFce4 and i cant add it to my gdm menu during the graphical login. i've tried putting it in my /etc/X11/gdm/Sessons but it won't show up. Sorry for such an easy question ;-)

The config files have been moved around a bit.
$ cat /etc/X11/dm/Sessions/XFce.desktop
[Desktop Entry] Encoding=UTF-8 Name=XFce Comment=XFce Exec=/usr/bin/startxfce4 Icon= Type=Application

GDM now uses /etc/X11/dm/Sessions/. You must create a xfce.desktop file with something like this:
[Desktop Entry] Encoding=UTF-8 Name=XFCE4 Comment=This session logs you into XFCE4 Exec=startxfce4 Icon= Type=Application
