fc 7 and onboard wireless nic not paying ball

Hi

I have a proline laptop with a "02:04.0 Network controller: Intel
Corporation PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter (rev 04)"
wireless nic, that fc 7 detects and installs in my network setting
but when I try and activate it I get the following..

"Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) :
    SET failed on device eth1 ; Operation not supported."

which setting do i need to set to fix this, I have tried playing with
the channels ..

Hi Greg, you need the proper software for your kernel and a little 
setup. Start by going to a web page and see if your Intel device is 
listed. This is the web page:

I doubt if this is actually an error message,
in the usual meaning of the term.
Does iwconfig say the device is working?

(Actually, "man iwconfig" would tell you how to change the frequency,
but I very much doubt if that is necessary.)

Consider it a warning, not an error message. It looks like the
driver does not support the "Set Frequency" operation. I get the
same thing on my ipw3945 wireless NIC, but it works fine. If you
post the output of iwconfig and let us know if you are using WPA or
WEP, we can probably help.
