/etc/X11/xkb should be a symlink to ../../usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb: xkb -> ../../usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb

You're getting these because you have a directory xkb.
Try this: # cd /etc/X11 # mv xkb xkb.old # ln -s ./../usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb . # rm 'xkb;4'*
That should tidy things up for you.
