Hi,
1. I am getting the following error message: "Error launching libguestfs appliance:" and there is nothing after the colon. What is it and does it matter?
2. I can't save the domain, It's apparently trying to save it into /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/save/win10.save but there is no space left on device. Is there a way to specify a path to a device with enough space?

No idea on this one.

/var/lib/libvirt/qemu/save is a directory.
With all VM's stopped, you could always move that directory to a location with more space and make a sym link to the new location.

Thanks, didn't think of this possibility.

You shouldn't need to stop any VMs. It wouldn't be writing to that directory unless you tell it to. Be aware that if you link it to somewhere else, you will most likely have to adjust the selinux context of the destination directory.

Of course you are right about not needing to stop the VM's. Not sure what I was thinking. It seems that if one uses mv the selinux context is retained.
Just to inject another option in this thread: You can also create a brand new storage directory in a place with more space (Edit>Connection Details>Storage tab).

I may be missing something, but I see nothing in those settings which would apply to the location of the files used by the virsh commands "save" and "restore".

Here is what I did: I removed virt-manager, emptied an 80 GB partition, mounted it as /var/lib/libvirt and installed virt-manager again and now it ran without problems.
Your idea with symlink made me think of this solution, thanks for your help.

For this one, maybe see "man libguestfs-test-tool"
