updatedb crashes

hi . when I run updatedb -v it crashes with the following .. what
would be causing this ?

/sys/module/nfnetlink/sections/.text
/sys/module/nousb/parameters
updatedb: src/updatedb.c:601: scan_cwd: Assertion `name_size > 1' failed.
