How does one unsubscribe and subscribe to this list?

I have been to https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list many 
many time over the last 3 weeks to change my email address.

I tried to change it. I tried to unsubscribe and re-subscribe. Everytime 
mailman promises to send a confirmation message, but I never receive it. 
I have no spam filter, so that is not it.

How else can I get this service to unsubcribe and re-subscribe me?

Open your message to the list - look down at the very bottom line 
of the message - or, even quicker, look down at the very bottom 
line of this message

I suspect you subscribed initially from a different e-mail address than
your current e-mail address

You can unsubscribe purely through the web interface.
Go to the above page, enter your email at the bottom,
click 'unsubscribe or edit options', enter your
password into the field provided and click 'log in'.
The second set of options (on the left hand side) of
the page is 'unsubscribing from fedora list', check
the box to confirm and then press the button.
You may get a few more emails from the list after that,
but they should stop within a day.

Note that there is also a 'change my address and name'
option right at the top of that page which from the
sounds of it is what you want to do.

message ever appears.

I have also tried the email interface but the mail is always returned 
undelivered:

that my comcast email provder may be blocking messages 
from this list server.

If I subscribe as <me&gt;(a)otherprovider.net, no problem. If I subscribe as 
<me&gt;(a)comcast.net, nothing ever shows up.

Talking with comcast security, they tell me the sender has to inform 
them to have themselves removed from the blocking list. Has anyone seen 
this before? How does one get redhat to investigate?

I used to be subscribed with a comcast.net address and didn't notice
any blocking.  I stopped using comcast for SMTP and POP3 a year ago
though, as I found them to be less than reliable and unresponsive in
other areas.

Red Hat should not need to investigate anything.  You are the
customer.  If your provider is unwilling to share the needed
information with you as to whether they are blocking the list and for
what reasons (so that you could contact the list admin), then you
should seriously consider using someone else for your SMTP and POP3
services.

I now use comcast for my bandwidth, but that's about it.  Dealing with
their security people to find out why they were blocking the pobox.com
mail servers (where I had an alias) was incredibly frustrating.  I
simply gave up on that and now use pobox.com directly for SMTP and
POP3.  With some other bandwidth options becoming available in my area
now (read: FIOS), comcast's time for sucking my dollars is limited.
They've earned exactly zero customer loyalty from me. :)

All that said, you should address any list administration problems to
the list owner (the address of whom you can get on the list info page
at the URL at the end of each list message).

I don't know if Comcast is blocking message but I know that Comcast
is dropping messages. I've had to unsubscribe from many mail lists
because Comcast drops or bounces email. I can no longer trust them
for my mail service. I've setup my Linux machines to use gmail.com
with sendmail. Whenever I spoke with Comcast tech support about this
issue they had no clue as to what I was talking about. Just like
they had no clue when I could no longer send out email using
Thunderbird. Also like they had no clue when they sent out an
email to Outlook users informing them of the need to move off smtp
and over to secure mail ports. The email even had links to non-
Comcast web sites but claimed to be Comcast (how clueless can you
get). I wish I could dump Comcast but I'm stuck with them.

Same experience for me. As another responder said, I'm just using
comcast for bandwidth, I gave up on their email. Something like
a gmail address is probably your best bet for mailing lists.

One more ditto - I use comcast for access only.  If there were another
game in town, I'd jump ship in a heartbeat.  I don't need some jackass
telling me he can't provision my modem because I'm not running
windows[1].  And I certainly don't need an ISP to decide what mail I'm
allowed to receive!

I had the same problem. I finally just setup a gmail account since we 
changed from Comcast to Bellsouth DSL and I got tired of changing my 
email address everywhere.

    FYI, this IS a Comcast problem.  They just like to point a finger at 
others so they don't have to deal with their own badly configured 
servers.  I can not send an e-mail from my Comcast account to my work 
address.  It always fails with some obscure SMTP error.  And yet, 
everyone in the world can e-mail me just fine at my work address (except 
for the occasional spam rejection of course).  When I told Comcast that 
I will simply refuse to use their system, things automagically started 
working...for about 12 hours, then it got blocked again.  I called again 
and this time I was told, there's nothing they can do, it's the 
"external" server (meaning mine) that's blocking them.  I told them I, 
and only I have total control over that "external" server and even 
opening it wide open for the world, e-mails from Comcast never arrives 
to it.  Yeah, it never even HITS the server, let alone get bounced.  
Their own internal MTA will bounce the message even before it hits 
ours.  They were supposed to go look into the problem and call me back.  
This was a year and a half ago....  I'm still waiting for a phone call...

    I can't begin to imagine how many users on Comcast e-mail system 
even know they're not getting (certain) e-mails.  But, that's okay, 
after all they can't send anything out anyway.  Heh!

Comcast couldn't care less if you threaten to cancel their "service". 
   In fact, I can't see any evidence that they care about anything. 
Maybe if a million of their customers cancelled, they might care, 
maybe not.
