In the past all I need:
dnf install libmtp gvfs-mtp
libmtp was already installed. Adding gvfs-mtp is not enough, it seems.
Or do I have to restart?

Again, not clear what you're trying to do. If you expect automounting of MTP devices, you'd probably need to log out and back in, at least. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, Systems Engineer, AllDigital ricks@alldigital.com - - AIM/Skype: therps2 ICQ: 22643734 Yahoo: origrps2 - - - - Life: That which happens while you search for the remote control. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------

power cycled. That did it. After a bit of time showing the Verizon drive, it does switch to mounting the whole file system.
All is good on this one,
thanks
