When an 8.5 x 14 in document is put into my scanner, xsane scans only the top 8.4 x 14 in portion of it. How can I change this behavior? (It's not easy.)
Simple scan scans the entire document, so the problem is not with the scanner nor with the sane backend.
Scanner: FUJITSU ScanSnap S1300 Xsane version: 0.998 Sane version: 1.0.23 simple-scan version: 3.6.0 KDE: 4.10.1 Fedora-18 with all updates.
Thanks - jon

Jim, have you tried iscan? If it has enough features to be useful it might behave better.

I don't have a scanner problem, I have a Samsung Printer Driver that is to old and out of date to print in Fedora 17 an 18.
