If I want to upgrade RH8 to FC then which version of FC should I use? Is it safe to upgrade from RH to FC? Please share your experience here to help me.

Are you trolling? RH8 uses 2.4 kernel. FC uses 2.6. Libraries, compiliers and most everything that else have changed. Do not upgrade! Do a backup. Do new install.
One of my desktops is RH8 -> RH9 -> FC2 -> FC5. Some things are broken and it is not really as stable as I would like (part of the desktop is gone, SMP does not work anymore). In a few weeks it will be wiped and upgraded to FC6.... I also had issues with upgrading from FC4->6 and FC5->6 on multiple machines. My main x86_64 laptop (FC5->6) took a very long time (20+hours).
The bottom line, I would recommend a full install if you can (backup your data and /home, the reinstall).
Good luck, -- Wade Hampton

It is a nightmare at times to upgrade at all, so many of us advise a fresh install from one FC version to the next. "Upgrading" from RH to FC is asking for a very interesting experience. I sure wouldn't do it, but YMMV. Ric
