Bonjour,
I have an nvidia graphic card and since at least f27 I had a high resolution (1280x1024) on the console screen during the boot. This is no more the case in f30. Why?
I use the nvidia driver from rpm-fusion, nouveau does not work with my card.
Thank you.

I've never seen the nvidia drive do a high resolution at boot time, only after X starts. The nouveau driver does the high resolution at boot though.

Yes! It was a (nice) surprise after a kernel update in f27 (I think): suddenly the resolution was the resolution I entered in default-grub file and moreover, instead of displaying the boot on only one screen, it was displayed on all my monitors....
But now, it is back to an ugly resolution on only one screen.
The nouveau driver does the high resolution at boot though.
I know, I used nouveau before but since I upgraded from f28 to f29, this no more works with my card and the 3 monitors.
I don't know why!

Nouveau is open source so there are lots of people who understand in detail how it works. Since this is a regression, a good bug report should get you an explanation, and there is good chance that you will be provided with a solution (which may be a simple as some options passed via the kernel startup line).

It has done for a while now, I suppose it started supported KMS or simiar. However you seem to get the "low" resolution when there's an NVIDIA driver update or no current driver 'compiled' for the running kernel. I'm guessing this is because the new version is built on the fly at boot up and is unavailable initially until reboot.
