I got squirrelmail working on my dewsk machine by dumping dovecot and returning to the default imap server. However I notice the following anoyances. Can anyone give me advice on this: 1. I owuld like the mail sorted with inascewndind date order (first mail listed first) and can't figure out how to do that,
2. I can't make the mail list ot indicate unread messages in some way although this seems to be an option. How is this done.

On the server there is an arrow after the Date column heading that allows one to change the sort order on my desk machine ther isn't. Why is that? Could the imap I use make the difference.

i doubt.
$ rpm -q dovecot squirrelmail dovecot-0.99.11-1.FC3.4 squirrelmail-1.4.3a-5
is here ok.
you could try different options [index orderes,themes,...] in squirrelmail.

Actually the answer is enoyingly simple. You can only change the sorting of the messages when you are in unthreaded mode. In that mode symbols show up after From, Date and Subject that allow solting on thqat field. -- Aaron Konstam Department of Computing Science Trinity University One Trinity Place San Antonio, TX 78212 tel: 210-999-7484 e-mail: akonstam@trinity.edu

Eh? dovecot is the default IMAP server, and should work very easily with dovecot + squirrelmail RPMS as shipped in FC3.
