Just started reading emails and noticed AP's emails are scattered all over the place. Is there something wrong with fedora's email server that is scattering emails?

No, it turns out to be gmail. Replying using gmail's edit-subject feature causes it to drop all references and the in-reply to header.

No, AP's replies don't contain any "References:" or "In-Reply-To:" headers.
