Following advice on a recent similar problem, I tried to get the recently announced tcpdump-3.8.2-14 with:
yum update tcpdump*
It found no packages matching tcpdump* . rpm -q tcpdump returns tcpdump-3.8.2-13, suggesting that I could use the update. Thanks for your help. Mike.

Got Email from CronDaemon which told me the same here. Most likely this is b/c my mirror hasn't synced within the last couple hours.
I would use repoquery to proof this.
