Have you tried using BitTorrent? I have had much better luck with it than FTP or HTTP. (Since it does not need restarts if the connection drops.)
http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/ for a list of torrents and instructions.
Are you using boardband ? are you using this site http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/4/i386/iso/o download the disc? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amrit ahuja" heyamrit@yahoo.com To: fedora-list@redhat.com Sent: Saturday, December 31, 2005 1:28 AM Subject: download FC4

If you are using linux: The command: wget -b ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/4/i386/iso/FC4-i386-disc*
Use

instead so that wget will resume downloading a file if your connection should fail.
Do a Google search for "wget.exe" if you are using Windows. You will need to run wget from a command prompt, i.e., Start->Run->cmd .
will work. It'll download in the back ground, bloody good program wget. If it's any help, send me a private e-mail, and you can get them off my box, although it's not certain I'll be able to run an FTP out of college.

Certainly, Windows imposes a 2 Gb limit if you're using fat32.
If wget has the problem, someone should verify it and bugzilla it.
I generally use rsync, and I know that has no problem with big files.

Apache can't serve it: [Sun Jan 01 00:43:45 2006] [error] [client 192.168.7.138] (75)Value too large for defined data type: access to /RHEL/3.90/iso/el-source.iso failed
The particular file is 3.3 Gbytes.
I don't have an ftp server installed.

This problem was fixed a long time ago.
