Hello,
I'm not sure if i am saying this right, but i'm trying to configure a ATI 128 mobility video card while using fedora core 2. The drivers for linux that ati offers did not do the trick.
I really need to get this working, because I need an external monitor now first before I ever see the display right. And on a laptop, this isn't very nice.
If you can help me out, please do.
Thanx in Advance

Martin, I had no problem other than default screen size.
lspci | grep ATI 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 Lf [Radeon Mobility 9000 M9] (rev 01)
lsmod | grep rad radeon 113669 2
This module comes with the kernel.
snippet from xorg.conf Section "Device" Identifier "Videocard0" Driver "radeon" VendorName "Videocard vendor" BoardName "ATI Radeon Mobility M9" EndSection
Ted
it may be true for some ati card radeon 9000 9200 but not for ati radeon mobility 9600 and above the laptop on fc2 uses the generic driver

The Radeon M10 is detected in the FC3 configuration with updates.

Really a 128? Please post output of
/sbin/lspci /sbin/lspci -n
The drivers for linux that ati offers did not do the trick.
If you want you can get a SRPM to rebuild or pre-build RPMS for FC2 here:
http://bugzilla.livna.org/show_bug.cgi?id=211
But they are not for (Rage?)128 Cards...
