Hi All,
I need to send a tech support guy a movie of what is happening and what I am doing with their program. Is there a way to make a movie of an area on my screen?
Many thanks, -T
T:
I was recommended vokoscreen and, though it took a bit of work to figure it out, has been able to do entire screen or any window on screen. Not certain if it supports random area of screen

If recording the entire screen is an option, GNOME has this functionality built-in.
How about simplescreenrecorder: very straightforward and reliable.

I second simplescreenrecorder. The only thing I need to work on with it is how to record both my microphone and the computer's audio. For everything else, it works poifectly.
