HP Remote control in F10

Dear list,

I have an HP m8200n Desktop computer and it has a remote control for media 
center purposes.  I was wondering how I could set the remote control up and 
use it with anything, like movie player, for example.  Can anybody help me 
here?

There's no short answer to your question that I know of. At a minimum
you'll need to find out if LIRC[1] is compatible with your IR
receiver.
