Is there a repository that has a kopete rpm for FC6? Yum didn't find it in core, extras and livna.
Kopete is, from what I can tell, the kde analogue of gaim. I want it because supposedly it can do video streaming via yahoo.
Does anybody have any kind of video streaming working under FC6? I tried ekiga and ffmpeg/ffserver - both have bugs - and gaim doesn't do streaming. I've also tried vlc, without success so far, but still trying. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Try installing Mplayer and a package called "essentials". Follow instructions and you will play streaming videos. I still have problems with videos under DRM. :(

Thank you and thanks to all who responded. Kopete + jasper does do streaming, I was able to do that out of the box.

I've just had a look in my FC6, and Kopete is there. Main menu, and with the Internet stuff.
Do you have all the KDE packages installed? I mean the main ones, like kdepim (which has kmail in it), kdenetwork, kdeaddons, etc. I'm not sure which one these has kopete in it, and looking at the package descriptions with synaptic, it's all a bit vague as to what packages are contained in the various main parts of KDE.
Have a look in synaptic, or yumex, if your using YUM, and see what KDE stuff is installed. For example, I'm back in FC2 at the mo, but kopete is installed, and these are the KDE things installed.
kdeaddons kdeartwork kdebase kdeedu kdegraphics kdelibs kdemultimedia kdenetwork kdepim kdesdk kdeutils

Yes.
chitlesh(~)[0]$ whereis kopete kopete: /usr/bin/kopete
chitlesh(~)[0]$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/kopete kdenetwork-3.5.6-1.1
kopete comes from kdenetwork.
You can install kdenetwork with : yum install kdenetwork or search for kdenetwork with yumex or pirut.
