I know this is going to sound crazy to the die-hard people in here, but someone asked me.....and I was unable to provide an answer.....so here goes: How DO you "add/Remove software in Fedora now? it would seem that there's no way to do it unless you know the package name and do it from the terminal?
TIA

Nevermind everyone....I found the answer: Had to open a Terminal and install "gnome-software".....sorry for the "silly-ness"! LoL!

Isn't gnome-software for Fedora 20?
For Fedora 19 you have Software (gpk-application) and Yumex.

Oddly enough I didn't ask Hector which version this was. (My mistake!) Yes. It's F20...I will be rolling him back to F19 immediately!.....thanks for pointing that out!!

YUM or DNF is the best option but as you've already mentioned yum must know package name. After all it's not that hard and it's easier when you use bash completion to see the exact package name. You can also use gnome-software to browse and manage applications on your system. I can't tell if it's usable but it looks promising.

Yeah. I had to go and install gnome-software, and it looks promising so far, I don't know if the user will approve, but I've installed three packages and they seem to work just fine. Thanks!!!

If you have a desktop that still maintains a structured menu, like there was with Gnome 2, you'd have an entry called add/remove software in the system tools sub-menu.
The newer, confangled, desktops that pretend to be iPads, and have done away with menus for having icons splattered all over the desktop, should have something similar. And their *search* for the thing that you want tool, because you have no choice but to go searching, ought to let you find something by typing in suitable keywords as search parameters (add, remove, or software, *ought* to find you something useful).

If you know what the package does you could yum search for it, eg "yum search email"
or switch to a Desktop, that is more helpful? dump MS 8 lite. Xfce, Mate-Compiz, LXde
