where is volume control thermometer

Hi all,

Running f18 installed from the xfce live spin.

Keyboard volume controls used to pop a small window center screen that 
showed the current volume.

It provides instant feedback without having to leave the keyboard and 
updates in real time as the volume is adjusted.  IMO that is a very 
simple and elegant way of communicating with the user

Is it still available?  If so, what is its package name?

"used to" - on what DE is this referring to?
