Hi Paul,
Thanks sooo much for replying.I am not trying to remove the package
via command but (on genome) i am going to Applications->System
Settings->Add remove packages

I had tried to complie metacity via command line though i went to the
metacity folder and typed ./configuration and then make and some
command which i dont remember to delete the files made by make command
as mentioned in readme file.(i dont have metacity file now to confirm
it :((

Plz help!
