Hello,

compat-libf2c-34-3.4.6-36.fc22.i686 provides:
/usr/lib/libg2c.so.0
and
/usr/lib/libg2c.so.0.0.0

but not
/usr/lib/libg2c.so

while gcc -lg2c
requires libg2c.so

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lg2c

What is wrong?

PEBKAC. Running "gcc" is wrong for that compat-library. You need to
run the versioned binaries from the "compat-gcc-34-g77" package.
