Kinkos has a printer driver for windows which allows one to select to print to a Kinkos nearby location.
I was wondering if there is a Linux/Unix "kinkos" driver to add to Cups so that when one is on the road, one can print to nearest Kinkos location.
I know I can email the file, or even the web link to the kinkos email address. But that requires that I know the email address of the kinkos location.
Thanks for any tips/clues.

would a kinkos store not be a better place to ask?
being that fedex uses linux, i would imagine what you need is available.

I did indeed ask. They had absolutely no clue what I was asking for. So, they referred me to their own tech support. Their tech support had no idea if they ever had such a driver.
So much for tech support :) :)

I've done tech support. Most of them only know how to follow scripts, and if you ask them something they don't have a script for, very few of them know how to find out. The odds are very good, alas, that nobody there cares enough to know about Linux.

True. Also, many of them are either too tired, too bored, or as you say, simply do not care
one way or the other. Possibly, the issue is not central to their operations, so they are not going to spend any cycles looking into it.

This may be a silly question, but how do you know that there really is such a printer driver? Do you have a copy of it installed? Where does it print to?

A few months ago, I actually found a link to a windows driver hosted on a fedex url. It did install without issues - but it never worked, and the Fedex tech support had no idea how to "make" it work. The description claimed it worked. I hope to find that driver and post it to a public upload site, and post the link to it.

thru what windows program did it run? or was it it's own program?

i was in contact with friend via facebook [his email address is on system that is down] when i started having slow down and hangs while on facebook, i had to close all facebook pages. i restarted firefox with add-ons disabled to see if that was problem. turned out problem is with my connection to facebook.
what he did mention is that as far as he was aware is that forms had to be either a .pdf or a .doc file and he did not know if cups could send such file.
to do so, it would take a special driver for cups and should be found at cups site, if there is such.
i tried logging into cups.org site only to have password problems.
i suggest that you check cups.org to see if they have a driver.
if not, figure out a way to send form to kinkos, other than an email attachment.
i just now opened http://www.fedex.com/us/office/ and tried to see what procedure was, but got 'not available at this time' page. so no luck there.
it does seem that there should be a way to upload file thru a web browser. do not know.
again, much luck.

that should be: :( :( ;-)
ok. i will ask a friend who just retired from fedex to see what he may enlighten with.
will post back with his rely.
