Hi guys.
Where do we report missing "components" in Bugzilla.
I'm looking to file a BZ for R-core but there is no "R" nor "R-core" neither in Fedora nor in EPEL.
many thanks, L.

Do something like this:
rpm -q -i -f /usr/bin/R-core
The -i will report what source rpm was used to build it. That source rpm is the component name used in bugzilla (one of the best disguised tidbits of information in the redhat bugzilla system :-).
Of course /usr/bin/R-core is just an example, some file that came with the rpm is needed, I just guessed /usr/bin/R-core (never heard of it).
# dnf install R seems to produce expected results

"R" is not an easy name to find in dnf searches. I use " dnf se R | grep '^R-'"

There is a R component, just bugzilla doesn't deal with it particularly well.
Go to:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora
enter "R" (without quotes) into the Component field. Wait for a while. Wait some more. Click on the "R" that is at the top of the list it comes up with. Wait. Wait some more. It should be ready to fill in the rest of the bug.
I assume it's trying to match 'r' anywhere in a component name or something and causing it lots of problems, but it does work...

I did that and I needed that for EPEL and waited but Bugzilla found me nothing. Helpful is/was: -> $ rpm -qi R-core ... Bug URL : https://bugz.fedoraproject.org/R
which found me BZs for "R" and from there I went into a BZ and there used "+"
I wonder if it's just "R" issue or any/all single-letter-components - either way I wish Bugzilla handled those better.
thanks, L.
