Hi! I'm a newbie in the whole Linux world, but ...
Where can I find libiec61883 1.1.0 or newer for fc5 x86_64? ... I'm installing the FreeBoB project (http://freebob.sourceforge.net/index.php/Main_Page) and it requires libiec61883 1.1.0 or newer, but I have version 1.0.0 and FreeBoB installation says:
"checking for LIBIEC61883... configure: error: Package requirements (libiec61883 >= 1.1.0) were not met:
Requested 'libiec61883 >= 1.1.0' but version of libiec61883 is 1.0.0
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables LIBIEC61883_CFLAGS and LIBIEC61883_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details."
Everything else is OK, but this one ...
please help me ...
Thanks in advance!

According to IEEE 1394 for Linux home page (http://www.linux1394.org/), the latest libiec61883 release is v1.0.0, so the answer is either "nowhere" or "from the linux1394 SVN". Installing pre-release software isn't recommended for newbies, but you can find the instructions here: http://freebob.sourceforge.net/index.php/Compiling_from_SVN_HOWTO
