One of my friend forgot his user password. He is using fel 15 .So, he cannot access his fedora system. Please tell me how to do solve the problem.
Does he know his root password? If so, press ALT-F2 (or CTRL-ALT-F2) at the login screen to get into a console, login as root, and change the user password.
If he doesn't know the root password, he needs to boot into single user mode - http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/13/html/Installation_Guide/s1-res...

Around 03:54pm on Friday, March 02, 2012 (UK time), Biraj Karmakar scrawled:
after changing the root password how to change user password
on the commaned line type:
passwd <username>
where <username> is the username whose password is to be reset.
Then set a new password when prompted.

You did not need to change your root password, but if you have done it already; its no big deal.
To change the user password (lets say the username is biraj), login as root (Ctrl + Alt + F2) and do the following: "passwd biraj". You will be prompted to enter the new password and confirm the change. Thats it!
