Still no success... Anyone know where from ask? I know that it is kmod from rpmfusion, but surely someon maintains it...? I have rpmfusion enable and kmod-wl installed, but can't get wifi working. I tested with Linx Mint live stick, there was same situation, first no worky. But there was bcm-kernel-source, 6.30.223.271+bdcom-ubuntu 10-23.04-1, Broadcom 820.11 Linux STA wireless driver source, for BCM 43228 card. Installed that with Mints driverinstaller and wifi started to work.. Where do I find working driver for my Fedora 40. I don't want to change into Mint, or any *bubtu* systems????

Answering I guess: Lost wifi elitebook 840 g1
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@lists.fedoraproject.org/...
where you said:
When got updated kernel into 6.9.12-200.fc40.x86_64 Stopped my elitebooks wifi working and weird thing is, that does not work with older kernels either. Card is Broadcom BCM 43228 802.11a/b/g/n. Strange thing is, that lsmod shows module wl, lshw shows wlo1 bcm43228, but no wireless found??

I see that rpmfusion provides:
akmod-wl-6.30.223.271-51.fc40 Source : wl-kmod-6.30.223.271-51.fc40.src.rpm
This is the same version as the ubuntu one.
One may suspect thus an incompatibility with the kernel used in Fedora.
Have you looked in the system journal ?
Does "modinfo wl" provides options that may be related to the model of your card ?

Yes, I have that akmod-wl same, then I have same kmod-wl version, rpm packages installed
When I look from /var/log/messages I see wpa_supplicant[787]: wlo1: CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-FAILED ret=22
Lsmod show that module wl is loaded and cfg80211 uses wl that is all, what seen related to wl.

Something, what I don't understand, "me no speak nerd" :)

Those packages requires broadcom-wl that includes:
/usr/share/doc/broadcom-wl/fedora.readme
that says that you may have to recompile the wl kmod after editing
/etc/akmods/akmod-wl/api
Can you try that ?

A net search suggest also:
press Fn + F12 (wifi symbol) to turn on your WIFI

I looked that MINT live, lsmod, when there wifi works.. I see differencies.
As fedora loads wl 6520832 0 cfg80211 1 wl
Mint loads wl 6520832 0 cfg80211 2 wl mac80211
When I look, there is no module mac80211 loaded in Fedora..
