A basic question.
Is there anyway to configure Gnome to cease opening new windows when traversing the file system via the GUI? I've looked through various options available without finding anything.
Thanks -Brian

Don't use Gnome myself but I do know there is an option in Nautilus's Behaviour preferences to change it.
Something to do with browsing I think - I can't remember where exactly and I don't have Gnome installed at the moment to check!

System > Preferences > Personal > File Management
Behaviour (2nd tab)
Check "Always open in browser windows"

Open a Nautilus window.
Go to Edit menu, and select Preferences.
Select Behaviour tab, and check the box "Open alwaya in browser window".
