Hello,
with the 4.16.x kernels suspend works perfect on my ThinkPad x230i.
But with the 4.17.x kernels this has stopped working. Screen is
blanked but the system does not suspend.
My current kernel parameters read
net.ifnames=0 selinux=0 quiet acpi_backlight=vendor thinkpad-
acpi.brightness_enable=1
What has changed? How can I get suspend working again?
I've found myself in this situation too. However, this problem recently
started two previous kernel updates (unfortunately, do not take the
precaution of checking the corresponding versions).
In my particular case it seems that the suspension of the equipment
works the first time I do it after a fresh boot. If I try to suspend
the laptop at a second chance then the screen turns black but the
computer stays on normally, if I move the mouse or touchpad then the
Gnome login screen appears. My workaround has been to suspend again
from there which seems to work perfectly. My system has not been
updated from a previous version of Fedora (relatively fresh install).
My setup:
