mic fails on facebook

I am running fc20 with logitech h390 usb headset/mic. works with arecord
and skype. facebook fails mic; i can hear fine, cant make a sound. I
have queried facebook, no joy. Any ideas?

Uh, F20 has been EOL for almost 2 years. You really should update.

Having not updated my facebook in like three years and having never
used any of its "advanced" options, I'm not sure how you use facebook.
If it's via the web, it may be that you have denied access to the mic
in your Javascript options (in the same way you can deny access to your
camera and such).

If using Chrome, go to "Settings", then click on "Advanced Settings",
then on the "Content settings..." button. Scroll down in the pop-up
that appears. Somewhere near the middle you'll see options for the 
microphone and camera. Select the "Ask when a site..." button and when
a site wants your mic, it'll pop up a box asking you to grant or deny
access.
