There seem to be lots of problems with dual boot : I solved the problem as follows.
On a Dell inspiron laptop I did change the bootmode.
UEFI with Legacy Oprom Secure boot Off Bootlist option UEFI
Then I first installed Windows 8.1 Professional , then Fedora 20 .
Grub functionates perfect and probes on Fedora and displays bootloader Windows on /dev/sda1 and boots the desired OS.
So whre is the problem?

I'm curious what happens if Secure Boot is enabled. That should work also, however I don't know if the chainload from GRUB to Windows works or is even expected to.
