Where is the trash can

Hi 
I need to find out how to get the trash can icon to come up. It is not
on my desktop any where.

Hi Art,

I just did a quick find in gconf-editor and I see the following entry:
/apps/nautilus/desktop/
  trash_icon_name []

If this set to true, an icon linking to the trash will be put on the
desktop.

May be you have turned off this setting.

KDE or Gnome?  With KDE just right click on the tool bar at the bottom,
select add applet, and select trashcan from the scroll-list. Ric
