Hi, Is anyone else having problems playing streams from ShoutCast? I load them through StreamTuner, and it tells me "Unable to tune in, Stream is empty." I can't even play them from the ShoutCast web site, with Totem, same problem.

try clicking the link to the website that hosts the stream
and using the stream from within the site.
I dono why. but that's how I got my xmms to play streams.
it's probably due to a change within xmms, I upgraded the version and it stopped working . so the fix is to go directly to the stream site and load the url that way.

Amazing, that worked. I say amazing, because this is one of those situations where it worked "the day before yesterday" and it doesn't work today.
I have the same versions of streamtuner (0.11.1) and xmms (1.2.9) that were working before, but I had to browse to the ABS (Atlanta Blues Society) web site, and load the playlist from there. That just sucks!
Oh well, there's another mailing list I need to join.

I wrote the streamtuner-misc list, and the developer answered me. He said he is having the exact same problem in Belgium. SHOUTcast is serving empty playlists, it is their problem. I loaded up the streamtuner-live365 plugin, and all is well now. I will watch SHOUTcast and see when/if they fix their empty streams.
