I'm trying to open an animated gif - I can't seem to find a tool in the graphics programs that will play the animation. Can someone point me to a viewer that will play the animation?

Perhaps your web browser of choice?? Firefox...Konqueror....
Jones, use web browsers (mozilla, firefox, ....) to open gif files. --amarnath

Claude,
If I want to see the gif animated (as opposed to seeing all the various slides as layers in GIMP), I just load it in my browser.

I had stepped out of the room after posting this, and thought to myself, I should try opening it in my browser. And, three of you had responded with that exact suggestion when I returned to my desk - thank you all for your quick responses. Works perfectly.
